Today we continued to work on our three shooting mechanism prototypes. The first is a catapult which would be used to shoot in a high goal. It’s launch angle is currently unadjustable. The second is a hooked shoot which is similar to Neutrino’s design. It intakes the boulder and uses a wheel to bring it around and up. The third is both a pick up mechanism and shooting mechanism. It uses wheels (when parallel to or aimed slightly toward the ground) to catch balls and internally store them. Then, the angle is adjusted away from the ground to shoot the boulder up and out. Hopefully these prototypes receive helpful, constructive criticism tomorrow at our design review workshop!
