Today, the build team weighed the robot with force plates loaned by Mr. Rockman. After calibrating the force plates, they found that the robot weighed approximately 106 pounds. Another group worked on cutting a steel block which will be attached to the back of the robot and will balance the weight of the robot.
One group made the assembly pieces for two copies of the original tote aligner, but the pieces have yet to be assembled because of the absence of specialized hubs which are needed. Another team wired an alternate tote aligner. A third team works on motorizing the wheel for a second alternate tote aligner.
The programming team worked on the drive PID and made lifter levels for the tote and recycling bin lifters.
Lastly, one group cut name tags on acrylic for all the Gatorbotics members.
