Today, there were multiple visits to IDEO where our guiding arms and the platforms connecting the motors of the guiding arms to the chasis were cut and mounted. We also worked on attaching the chain to our mountain range. At Castilleja, one of the alternate grabber groups continued their work by trying out a stronger/sturdier plastic. This was not as successful, but they have moved on to an even stronger plastic, hopefully that will work a little better. The second alternate grabber group, one that is working with pneumatics finished their prototype, and it looks awesome. The second group working with pneumatics attached their actuator and hinge today. The programming team laser cut the electronics board on to green acrylic, it looks great! They mounted some talons on it it as well. At the end of the day, the robot came back from IDEO!!
