Today we had a few groups doing multiple projects. One of the groups set off to Home Depot to buy wood to construct the game pieces. The electronics layout group started mapping out the electronics in the robot. A subteam of the electronics group updated the firmware of the talons and got them ready for use on the robot. Another subteam of the electronics team modeled the mounts for the joysticks. One group worked on alternative designs for the grabber as a back up. One group went to IDEO to deliver CAD drawings and supplies Jimmy and later designed carriages to fit with the new lift model. Another group worked on the bill of materials and the plow to clear noodles. The chain and sprocket group calculated the gear ratio needed to lift 6 totes and a bin along with the size of sprocket necessary on the bottom axel.
