We’ve been working very hard on reaching a final and effective design for our robot. Each group has made significant progress on their tasks.
Today, the electronics team worked on the electronics board that will be used on our robot. They’ve been busy assembling and testing it, and are very close to being done.
Another group has been prototyping an arm with wheels that will help guide the totes and bins into the robot. This group has been figuring out how the arm will open and close, and how the wheels will work in order to bring in the totes and bins.
The pulley group is working on prototyping the framework of the robot. They have yet to attach the pulley, but have remade the framework with more precision.
The final group worked on the chassis. They have made a mock chassis and are working on attaching the mecanum wheels to it. We want to test out the wheels before deciding whether we want them for our robot.
The Gatorbotics team has kept their noses to the grindstone and we hope to begin building our robot soon.
