Today at a delicious dinner of various flavors of bruschetta we discussed safety violations and cleanup. The safety violates include always wearing close toes shoes, wearing goggles and having your hair up when you are around anything that moves, officially getting trained on a machine before using it, and using guiders with the band-saw. If you get a safety violation, you either do inventory on Friday afternoon or clean out the fridge (which smells horrible). The punishments increase in severity has more safety violations occur, but the count is reset every week.
The tables are now completely clean! Wouldn’t it be amazing if they stayed that way? Try not to put anything under the table that you are not planning on taking out again within the session.
On the building front, the dumper prototype that was done with cardboard yesterday was constructed today with wood. One group continued to work on the pusher-downer for the final robot, but had some issues with the rivets. Another group continued on the bumpers for the robot. Also the bedpan was deburred, so it won’t cut the wires on the board.
Programming worked on a new electronics board and added pneumatics to it, so they could test the code.
