After a delicious lasagna and caesar salad meal, we hit the ground running.
The programming team including myself, Caroline C., Austin J., Anna V., and Teresa K. wrote code for and experimented with limit switches, switches that can sense when a part has fully extended. Another group was in search for the perfect torque ratios. Three other girls helped with inventory and sorted odds and ends in pursuit of a cleaner working environment. Katherine H. and Dani M. were busy with CADing the pusher downer mechanism, while the build team including Kylie J., Nickie P., and Victoria D. focused on determining whether the conveyor belt mechanism to climb the pyramid could stay on the third level.
Overall, we had a very successful night in the Bourn Lab and are collectively very pleased with our progress.
