Today the build and programming teams broke down into groups. The build team separated into three groups, the arm group, the hook group and the pusher-downer group. The arm group continued working on making a working prototype for the arm mechanism. They achieved their goal today by finishing a working prototype of the arm using a pulley system.The hook group calculated the dimensions of the hook taking into account that the playing fields will vary depending on the materials used. The pusher downer group learned about pneumatics, torque, speed and current. They brainstormed ideas for possible designs. This group also calculated the gear ratio needed if we use 2 mini cim motors instead of pneumatics for the pusher-downer. The programming team continued working on their coding projects.
